Alabama hoops lands Tarleton State forward Keitenn Bristow

Alabama basketball strengthened its roster on Wednesday with the addition of Keitenn Bristow, a former Tarleton State forward. The 6-foot-8 wing, who was named WAC Player of the Year last season, averaged 11.3 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. With three years of eligibility remaining, Bristow brings valuable experience and depth to the Crimson Tide.

Bristow adds another versatile shooter to Alabama’s lineup, fitting well into Coach Nate Oats’ fast-paced, blue-collar style. Last season, the Holiday, Texas native shot 46.1% from the field and 32.8% from beyond the arc. He also led all WAC freshmen with 1.1 steals per game, showcasing his defensive capabilities.

Bristow is Alabama’s fourth transfer acquisition this offseason, joining Bucknell center Noah Williamson, Florida State forward Taylor Bol Bowen, and Miami guard Jalil Bethea. In addition to these transfers, the Tide signed a talented three-man recruiting class, including Rivals100 forwards Amari Allen, Davion Hannah, and London Jemison.

Alabama also retains four players from last year’s roster: center Aiden Sherrell and guards Latrell Wrightsell Jr., Aden Holloway, and Houston Mallette. Starting guard Labaron Philon declared for the NBA Draft but could still return if he withdraws by June 15.

With Bristow’s commitment, Alabama now has 11 scholarship players, just two shy of the NCAA limit, positioning the team for another competitive season ahead.
