Arkansas basketball finishes the season ranked No. 20 in the final AP Poll.

The Associated Press released its final Top 25 college basketball poll on Tuesday, and the Arkansas Razorbacks secured the No. 20 spot. With 321 votes, Arkansas finished just behind Texas A\&M at No. 19 and ahead of Louisville at No. 21.

This marks the first time since December 30, when Arkansas was ranked No. 23, that the Razorbacks have been included in the AP Top 25. They dropped out of the rankings on January 6 after a lopsided 76-52 loss to No. 1 Tennessee at the start of Southeastern Conference play.

Arkansas concluded the season with a 22-14 overall record, including an 8-10 mark in SEC play. In the SEC Tournament, the Razorbacks went 1-1, earning a win over South Carolina in the first round but falling to Ole Miss in the second round.

The Razorbacks earned a 10-seed in the NCAA Tournament and made an impressive run to the Sweet 16 for the fourth time in five seasons. They defeated 7-seed Kansas 79-72 in the first round and 2-seed St. John’s 75-66 in the Round of 32.

In their Sweet 16 matchup against 3-seed Texas Tech, Arkansas held a 16-point lead in the second half but ultimately lost 85-83 in overtime, ending their season.

Now, head coach John Calipari is focusing on the transfer portal to build next season’s roster. Stay tuned to HawgBeat for updates on Arkansas basketball.
