Arsenal Transfer News: Mikel Arteta Set for £100m Summer Spending Spree

Arsenal are expected to have at least £100m available for transfers this summer, plus additional funds from potential player sales. The club is in a strong financial position under the Premier League’s Profitability & Sustainability Rules, allowing them to refresh their squad ahead of the new season.

The Gunners are reportedly targeting Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi and are prepared to meet his £50.5m (€60m) release clause. They also plan to sign a new striker, with Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko among the top targets. Gyokeres has an £84.1m (€100m) release clause, but Sporting might accept around £67.3m (€80m) for the Swedish international.

Additionally, Arsenal are among the clubs interested in Bournemouth center-back Dean Huijsen, who has a £50m release clause that can be paid in installments. Huijsen is also attracting interest from Liverpool, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich.

Meanwhile, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta remains under minimal pressure despite not winning a trophy in five years, a rarity in modern football.
