Baltimore Ravens Part Ways with Veteran Kicker Justin Tucker Amidst Allegations”

The Baltimore Ravens have made the decision to release longtime kicker Justin Tucker, citing “football reasons” despite ongoing investigations into several allegations of sexual misconduct. Tucker, who has been with the Ravens since 2012 and is widely regarded as one of the most accurate kickers in NFL history, had been a key figure in the team’s special teams. However, his performance took a hit in the 2024 season, where he converted just 73.3% of his field goals, marking the lowest rate of his career.

While the team’s General Manager Eric DeCosta emphasized that the move was based on Tucker’s recent performance and roster needs, the decision comes as the NFL continues its investigation into the allegations. Tucker has strongly denied all accusations, and his wife has publicly defended him.

In light of Tucker’s release, the Ravens used the 2025 NFL Draft to select kicker Tyler Loop from Arizona. Loop impressed scouts with his strong leg and accuracy, including a 62-yard field goal at the NFL Combine, where he made 13 out of 14 attempts. The Ravens appear to be transitioning to a new era at kicker with Loop expected to step in.

This marks the end of a historic chapter for Tucker in Baltimore, as the Ravens look ahead with a new kicker in place.
