Barcelona Exit Looming? Raphinha’s Future in Doubt Amid Contract Uncertainty

Raphinha’s future at Barcelona is uncertain as he reportedly faces difficulties in agreeing to a new contract. This situation has caught the attention of clubs in the lucrative Saudi Pro League.

The Brazilian international is reportedly not entirely satisfied with some aspects of the contract extension offered by Barcelona. While Raphinha’s preference is to remain with the LaLiga giants, the impasse could pave the way for a substantial offer from Saudi Arabia. Al Hilal is said to have already presented the 28-year-old with highly attractive financial terms.

According to Diario Sport, Raphinha, who currently has two years left on his existing deal, perceives “significant differences” between his expectations and Barcelona’s proposal. The club has offered a one-year extension with an option for a further year, but the winger is seeking a two-year extension that would keep him at the Camp Nou until 2030, nearing his 33rd birthday. Salary is another point of contention for Raphinha. However, Barcelona is willing to include a relatively low release clause of €80 million in the new deal.
