Cowboys Ink Deals with 7 of 9 Draft Picks Ahead of Rookie Camp
The Dallas Cowboys have announced the signing of seven of their nine selections from the recent NFL draft.
First-round pick Tyler Booker, an offensive guard chosen 12th overall, has agreed to his four-year rookie contract worth $22.5 million, which includes $13 million in guaranteed money. Booker expressed his eagerness to get to work, stating, “We were both on the same page. We know that this rookie contract is just, Lord willing, the first of a couple that I have coming in front of me. I was just focused on getting to work. I wasn’t too worried about the little extremities. That’s some stuff for my agent to worry about, so I told her, ‘Let’s get this thing done. I’m ready to get to work.
Joining Booker in signing their rookie deals are:
- Third-round cornerback Shavon Revel
- Fifth-round linebacker Shemar James
- Sixth-round offensive tackle Ajani Cornelius
- Seventh-round defensive tackle Jay Toia
- Seventh-round running back Phil Mafah
- Seventh-round defensive tackle Tommy Akingbesote
The Cowboys still have two remaining draft picks yet to sign: second-round defensive end Donovan Ezeiruaku and fifth-round running back Jaydon Blue.
