Cowboys’ Tyler Booker Shows Leadership Strength at Camp
The Dallas Cowboys’ 2025 rookie class took their first steps at The Star on Friday, getting accustomed to their new environment. Among them was first-round pick, guard Tyler Booker, who made an immediate impact with his leadership approach.
Booker, a standout at Alabama, made waves with his leadership comments following his draft selection, making it clear that he’s ready to help elevate those around him. While stepping into a locker room filled with veterans like Dak Prescott, Micah Parsons, and CeeDee Lamb might be daunting, Booker embraced the responsibility of leading his rookie class during their first day of minicamp.
“I take a lot of pride in being the leader of this group,” Booker said. “I’m a natural-born leader, so I’m excited to continue learning and growing with my fellow rookies. We had a great day.” Booker not only talked the talk but also demonstrated his leadership on his first official day.

Under new head coach Brian Schottenheimer, the Cowboys will focus on a strong running game, and Booker is poised to be a key part of that strategy. As the offensive line sets the tone for the offense, Booker understands the importance of his role.
For rookies, the goal is often just to make the team, but for Booker, it’s about making an impact. Schottenheimer has emphasized the importance of leadership this offseason, and Booker has already shown he embodies that quality, encouraging others to reach their full potential and proving he’s a player others can look to.
