Dembele Strikes! PSG Edge Arsenal in Tense Semi-Final First Leg.

Ousmane Dembele’s early strike secured a 1-0 victory for Paris Saint-Germain against Arsenal in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Emirates Stadium, leaving the Gunners with a significant challenge in the return leg at the Parc des Princes next Wednesday.

French forward Dembele capitalized in the fourth minute, expertly placing a first-time shot into the far corner from just outside the left side of the penalty area, following a well-executed exchange with winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. PSG threatened to extend their lead, with Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya making a crucial save to deny Desire Doue, and Fabian Ruiz hitting the post (though the play was later ruled offside). Before halftime and shortly after the break, PSG’s goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma made key saves to thwart one-on-one attempts from Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

Arsenal increased their attacking pressure in the second half and thought they had found an equalizer when Mikel Merino headed in Declan Rice’s free-kick. However, after a lengthy review by the Video Assistant Referee, the goal was disallowed for offside, leaving the home side frustrated.
