DJ Moore turns down $205 million Chiefs offer, stays loyal.
In a surprising move, Chicago Bears wide receiver DJ Moore turned down a groundbreaking $205 million NIL offer from the Kansas City Chiefs, affirming his commitment to the Bears. Moore, who signed a four-year, $110 million extension with Chicago in July 2024, expressed his loyalty, saying, “My loyalty lies with the Bears forever.” The offer, which came from Kansas City businesses with the Chiefs’ backing, would have allowed Moore to remain with the Bears while benefiting from endorsements in a Super Bowl-winning city.

Despite the massive offer, Moore remained focused on his relationship with the Bears and the Chicago fanbase. His agent confirmed the proposal but emphasized Moore’s dedication to the Bears’ direction and team. “DJ feels a strong sense of loyalty to Chicago and is committed to building something special here,” the agent said.
This move highlights the growing influence of NIL deals in professional sports. While less common in the NFL, this offer demonstrates the potential power of such endorsements. Moore’s decision to reject the deal is a boost for the Bears, as it signals confidence in the team’s future, particularly with the addition of rookie quarterback Caleb Williams. Fans and analysts alike are praising Moore’s commitment to Chicago.
