Draymond Mocks Charles Barkley Over Incorrect Game 7 Warriors Prediction
Many had written off the Golden State Warriors after they allowed their first-round NBA playoff series against the Houston Rockets to stretch to a decisive Game 7, despite initially holding a commanding 3-1 lead. The Warriors’ stumble reignited doubts about their playoff grit and raised questions about whether their championship window had finally closed.
One of the most vocal skeptics was NBA on TNT host Charles “Chuck” Barkley. Ahead of Sunday’s Game 7, Barkley confidently issued one of his signature “guarantees,” predicting a Rockets victory. However, things didn’t go as he expected. The Warriors bounced back with force, defeating Houston 103-89 to silence the critics and advance to the Western Conference semifinals.
Draymond Green, never one to miss a moment, caught wind of Barkley’s missed prediction and took the opportunity to poke fun at the Hall of Famer in typical Draymond fashion. He posted a cheeky message on his Instagram Story, writing, “MY OG Brother doesn’t understand Championship pedigree,” and playfully added, “We love you Chuckster!”

Green’s post was a lighthearted jab, but it also underscored the confidence and pride the Warriors still carry as a battle-tested team. While doubters like Barkley may have questioned their consistency, the Warriors showed they still know how to win when it matters most.
For Golden State, Game 7 was not just a win—it was a statement. And for Draymond, it was a chance to remind the world, and Chuck, that counting the Warriors out is always a risky bet.
