Golden State Warriors jersey history – No. 11 – Jaren Jackson (1992)

Over the course of more than 75 years, the Golden State Warriors have had over 600 players wear one of the more than 60 jersey numbers in the team’s storied history. Founded in 1946 during the Basketball Association of America (BAA) era—precursor to the NBA—the team has called Philadelphia, San Francisco, Oakland, and San Diego home.

In honor of the players who wore these numbers, Warriors Wire is highlighting the team’s complete jersey history, starting with the 14th of 23 players to don the No. 11 jersey—Jaren Jackson. After finishing his college career at Georgetown, Jackson went undrafted in the 1989 NBA Draft. Instead, he signed with the New Jersey Nets (now the Brooklyn Nets) and spent his rookie season with the team. Following that, he played in the Continental Basketball Association (CBA), the precursor to the NBA G League, before joining the Warriors in 1992.

Jackson’s time with Golden State was brief, as he played just five games for the team. During his stint, he wore the No. 11 jersey and averaged 5.2 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. Despite the short duration, his brief time with the Warriors is a part of the franchise’s rich and diverse history of players who wore the No. 11 jersey, adding to the legacy of the team’s numerous contributors over the decades.
