Hailey Van Lith Sends Strong Message to MiLaysia Fulwiley After Her Transfer to LSU
The college basketball transfer portal continues to be a key factor for top programs seeking to strengthen their rosters, with some making high-profile moves that could reshape the landscape.
One of the most notable transfers this offseason was MiLaysia Fulwiley, who left South Carolina after two seasons with the Gamecocks to join the LSU Tigers, a move that brought her to a fierce SEC rival.
Hailey Van Lith, a former LSU star and current player for the Chicago Sky, recently shared her thoughts on Fulwiley’s decision to transfer to LSU. Van Lith expressed confidence in Fulwiley’s ability to thrive at LSU, offering words of encouragement for the incoming Tiger.

“I think MiLaysia is a very confident player,” Van Lith remarked, according to Julia Poe. “She’ll be just fine. She should be herself, have fun, and enjoy the great environment here. The fans are incredible, and the atmosphere at LSU is one-of-a-kind. I think she’s going to love every game and really embrace what LSU has to offer.”
Van Lith’s praise highlights the excitement surrounding Fulwiley’s arrival, as LSU continues to build a roster with championship aspirations. The addition of a player like Fulwiley has raised expectations for the Tigers as they aim to remain a dominant force in women’s college basketball.
