Inter Miami signed Ecuadorian striker Allen Obando on loan from Barcelona S.C.
Inter Miami CF has brought in 18-year-old Ecuadorian forward Allen Obando on loan from Barcelona SC, with the arrangement running through the close of the 2025 MLS season and the possibility of a full transfer afterward. The signing, announced on March 25, 2025, is subject to Obando securing his P-1 Visa and International Transfer Certificate (ITC).
Hailing from Quito and born on June 13, 2006, Obando began his football path with Tolita Sport before enrolling in Barcelona de Guayaquil’s youth ranks at the age of 10. He stepped onto the professional stage in August 2022 as a 16-year-old, going on to accumulate 23 first-team appearances, four goals, and three assists across competitions.
On the international front, Obando has donned the Ecuadorian jersey at the U-17, U-20, and U-23 levels. He advanced to the senior squad in March 2024, making two appearances thus far.
His acquisition aligns with Inter Miami’s broader vision of integrating emerging prospects with veteran players. Under the leadership of head coach Javier Mascherano, the young striker is anticipated to mature further and bolster the club’s efforts across domestic and international tournaments, including MLS, the Concacaf Champions Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
