Jaguars Move Up for Travis Hunter as Shedeur Sanders Slips Past QB-Hungry Teams.

The 2025 NFL Draft kicked off as expected with the Titans taking Miami QB Cam Ward at No. 1. Things got unpredictable at No. 2, where Jacksonville traded up to draft two-way star Travis Hunter, giving Cleveland four picks in return.

Meanwhile, Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders, once seen as a potential top pick, went undrafted in the first round amid questions about his readiness. Teams like the Steelers and Giants passed, opting for other positions or quarterbacks.

Ward, who starred at Miami and finished fourth in Heisman voting, is expected to start for the Titans, who are rebuilding after a rough season. Other highlights: Giants took edge rusher Abdul Carter at No. 3; Patriots grabbed LSU tackle Will Campbell to protect QB Drake Maye; and the Raiders added RB Ashton Jeanty to fix their struggling run game.

Green Bay drew cheers with their first first-round WR pick since 2002, taking Texas’ Matthew Golden at No. 23.
