Kalen DeBoer previews Alabama’s 2025 A-Day Game.

Alabama’s 2025 A-Day Game is set for Saturday, April 12, at Bryant-Denny Stadium, but head coach Kalen DeBoer recently announced that the spring scrimmage will be “modified” this year. DeBoer explained to On3’s Pete Nakos that, while the game will remain open to the public and free to attend, it may resemble more of a practice than a traditional scrimmage. Following Alabama’s first spring practice, DeBoer shared a list of injuries with reporters, before clarifying his earlier comments about A-Day.

He pointed out that last year’s A-Day was a “modified game,” as they didn’t split teams and instead focused on areas like offensive line and tight end depth. This year’s event could follow a similar approach, with a focus on controlled reps and making the most of the 15 spring practices.

Although Alabama confirmed there will be no live broadcast of the A-Day event, DeBoer emphasized that the final spring practice will be adjusted based on how the team progresses throughout the spring. DeBoer expressed his intention to make A-Day a celebration for the fans while ensuring the team gets the most out of their practices. As the spring progresses, more details will be revealed about how the event will unfold. DeBoer stressed the importance of continuous improvement for both individual players and the team as a whole.
