LSU Responds to MiLaysia Fulwiley’s Announcement on Sunday
The LSU Tigers women’s basketball team has dominated the SEC for several years under the leadership of head coach Kim Mulkey.
Last season, LSU reached the Elite Eight but fell short of the Final Four, losing to the UCLA Bruins. Despite this setback, the Tigers secured notable wins over teams like San Diego State, Florida State, and NC State.
Following the season, LSU focused on reshaping its roster for the future.
A major addition to Coach Mulkey’s squad is MiLaysia Fulwiley, a standout transfer from the South Carolina Gamecocks. Fulwiley brings impressive credentials, including a recent victory at the USA Basketball 3×3 National Championship.

On Sunday, LSU paid tribute to Fulwiley, celebrating her championship achievement. The official LSU women’s basketball social media account shared the recognition, stating, “MiLaysia Fulwiley is a USA Basketball 3×3 Champion.”
Fulwiley’s addition is expected to bring a new dimension to the Tigers’ already strong lineup, enhancing their depth and overall competitive edge as they aim for another successful season.
