Marcus Rashford: Aston Villa Injury Threatens to Cut Short Man United Striker’s Season
Marcus Rashford’s current season with Aston Villa could be prematurely concluded due to a hamstring injury that sidelined the on-loan Manchester United forward for their FA Cup semi-final defeat against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The England international is currently undergoing assessment, but according to BBC Sport, the focus is “more likely” to be on his recovery in time for England’s World Cup qualifier against Andorra and their friendly match against Senegal in June.
As a loanee, Rashford is ineligible to play in Aston Villa’s final Premier League game of the season, which is ironically against his parent club, Manchester United, on May 25th. Therefore, the last potential match he could feature in for Villa would be their home game against Tottenham on May 18th.
