MiLaysia Fulwiley transfers to LSU after two seasons with South Carolina.

Former South Carolina guard MiLaysia Fulwiley is headed to LSU, she announced Friday on social media, giving the Tigers one of the most sought-after players in the transfer portal.

Fulwiley, entering her junior year, joined the portal shortly after South Carolina’s national title game loss to UConn. A key contributor off the bench for coach Dawn Staley, Fulwiley averaged 11.7 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 18.9 minutes per game this past season—nearly identical to her freshman year stats. Though she started only three of 77 games over two seasons, she made a big impact with her explosive scoring and transition play. She shot 43.2% from the field and 30.2% from beyond the arc during her time with the Gamecocks.

Fulwiley joins an LSU backcourt already led by Mikaylah Williams and Flau’jae Johnson, and she’s expected to play a similar sparkplug role—potentially with increased minutes.

LSU has seen major roster turnover, with five players entering the portal and all five frontcourt players gone due to transfers or eligibility. Fulwiley becomes LSU’s third portal addition, alongside Kate Koval and Amiya Joyner.
