Purdue Basketball Unveils 2025-26 Big Ten Opponents
Purdue basketball revealed its 2025-26 Big Ten opponents on Tuesday, outlining the schedule for home, away, and home-and-away matchups for next season.
The Boilermakers’ home-and-away opponents will include in-state rival Indiana, Iowa, and Wisconsin. The annual rivalry with Indiana remains a two-time conference fixture, while Purdue will visit Madison and Iowa City for games against Wisconsin and Iowa.
In addition to the three home-and-away teams, Purdue will host Michigan State, the reigning Big Ten regular-season champions, along with Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Penn State, Oregon, and Washington.

For the road-only games, Purdue will make trips to both coasts. The Boilermakers will face Maryland in College Park and Rutgers in Piscataway, as well as traveling west to play USC and UCLA. This will mark Purdue’s first road games against USC and UCLA in California since 1972 and 1999, respectively. Other road tests include games against Nebraska, Northwestern, and Ohio State.
Purdue, led by Matt Painter, will aim to reclaim the Big Ten regular-season title after their two-year streak was interrupted in 2024-25. The Boilermakers will return key players, including Braden Smith, Trey Kaufman-Renn, and Fletcher Loyer, while also adding significant offseason acquisitions Oscar Cluff and Omer Mayer to strengthen the team for the upcoming season.
