**Ravens Once More Listed as Potential Destination for Former All-Pro Cornerback**
Through both free agency and the NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens have made significant upgrades to their cornerback group. They added veteran Chidobe Awuzie and drafted Robert Longerbeam from Rutgers in the sixth round. These additions have bolstered what was once a weak position, but some analysts still feel there’s room for further improvement.
After facing injuries that decimated their secondary in 2023, the Ravens have made a concerted effort to reinforce their cornerback depth over the past two offseasons. Last year, they selected Nate Wiggins near the end of the first round. This year, they brought in Chidobe Awuzie through free agency and picked up Robert Longerbeam in the draft. While their cornerback room may seem crowded now, the Ravens have a long history of targeting veteran players looking to compete for a championship. Despite the crowded depth chart, there are still whispers of adding a high-profile player like Jalen Ramsey to their roster.
However, the financial implications of such a move would be difficult to navigate. Ramsey, 30, has a \$16.7 million cap hit for 2025, but his contract increases over time, eventually peaking at \$36.2 million in 2028. He also has three void years at the end of his deal, carrying a \$12.4 million cap hit in 2029. Given the Ravens’ tight cap situation, particularly in 2026, and the need to re-sign several key players soon, taking on Ramsey’s contract as is would be challenging. If they decide to trade for him, they would likely need to restructure his deal, which, while not unprecedented, would still carry considerable risk.

Ramsey remains a top-tier player, recording 60 tackles, 11 passes defended, and two interceptions last season, but this type of move seems out of character for the Ravens given their current cap constraints.
