Real Madrid’s Raul Asencio Denies Wrongdoing as Trial Looms Over Underage Sex Video Allegations

Real Madrid defender Raul Asencio has publicly broken his silence as he prepares to face trial in connection with an alleged video depicting an underage girl having sex with three former Real Madrid reserve team players.

Asencio is accused of sharing the footage, which reportedly involves three former Real Madrid B players: Ferran Ruiz (22), Juan Rodriguez (23), and Andres Garcia (22), who were arrested in September 2023. The players are alleged to have lied to two girls, reportedly aged 16 and 18, by claiming that the recorded sexual material had been deleted.

Asencio’s attempt to appeal his inclusion in the upcoming trial was unsuccessful, with his appeal being rejected in February. Taking to social media platform X on Thursday, Asencio stated: “I have not participated in any behaviour that violates the sexual freedom of any woman, much less minors.”

In a lengthy statement, the Real Madrid star emphasized that the “presumption of innocence must continue to prevail.”

He further added: “Should charges ultimately be filed and a trial commence, I will continue to defend myself before the Courts and Tribunals, in which I have full confidence, reaffirming my innocence of any criminal conduct. All of this is without prejudice to the utmost respect for the conduct of the judicial proceedings as a whole, including those of the other persons under investigation.
