Speculation Swirls: Huijsen’s Buyout Clause Reportedly Set for Three-Stage Payment Plan

As reported by Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany, Dean Huijsen’s £50 million release clause at AFC Bournemouth is structured to be payable in three separate installments.

When it comes to Liverpool FC’s transfer strategy, they’re known for capitalizing on situations where a player’s market value can be negotiated down. Now that installment payments are on the table, it’s clear why they’re pushing for this deal. While Huijsen’s stats in aerial duels aren’t outstanding, he’s only 20—there’s plenty of time for him to improve in that area.

At present, both Liverpool and Chelsea appear to be leading the chase for Huijsen, with Arsenal also showing interest. Though Real Madrid is reportedly his preferred destination, financial constraints may keep them from making a serious offer. A Premier League switch seems most likely, with Chelsea eager to finalize the transfer ahead of the Club World Cup in mid-June.
