Top European power forward prospect Andrija Jelavic has committed to Kentucky.

Andrija Jelavic, one of Europe’s most promising young basketball talents, has committed to Kentucky’s 2025 recruiting class, his agent Misko Raznatovic of Beobasket told ESPN.

The 6-foot-11 power forward from Serbia has extensive international experience, having played 53 games over the past two seasons with Mega Superbet in the competitive Adriatic League. Jelavic, who turns 21 next month, averaged 10.8 points, 7.3 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 1.2 steals per game while shooting 62% on two-pointers. Known for his mobility and versatility, he also hit 52 three-pointers over that span and boasts a 7-foot-2 wingspan, giving him the ability to impact the game on both ends of the floor.

His commitment adds to a busy offseason for new Kentucky coach Mark Pope, who has already brought in several transfers, including Arizona State center Jayden Quaintance, Pitt guard Jaland Lowe, Alabama’s Mouhamed Dioubate, and Tulane forward Kam Williams. Kentucky is also set to welcome top freshmen Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno.

The Wildcats remain in the mix for elite forward Nate Ament, a projected top-five NBA pick in 2026, competing with Duke and Tennessee for his commitment.

Jelavic’s decision is part of a broader trend reshaping college basketball, as NIL opportunities are making U.S. programs increasingly attractive to international talent. Other European standouts heading to NCAA programs include Germany’s Sananda Fru (Louisville), David Mirkovic of Montenegro (Illinois), and German center Dominykas Pleta (Iowa State), with more expected to follow.
