Top PG recruit Acaden Lewis pulls the plug on Kentucky commitment!

Lewis, ranked No. 7 by ESPN among point guards in the 2025 class, had committed to the Wildcats in November. He expressed gratitude to coach Mark Pope and the staff but decided to revisit his options after much reflection with his family.

“Kentucky is a special place with amazing fans, but I believe this is the best move for my future,” Lewis said in a statement. “This decision wasn’t easy, and I appreciate Coach Pope and Kentucky for their understanding.”

The 6-foot-2 senior, who played for Sidwell Friends School in Maryland, earned Gatorade Player of the Year honors for D.C. in 2024.

Kentucky, meanwhile, has been active in the transfer portal, adding new players like Arizona State’s Jayden Quaintance and Pitt’s Jaland Lowe, while keeping an eye on the uncommitted Nate Ament.
