Two Wildcats from Kentucky will participate in the 2025 NBA Draft Combine.
Two Kentucky Wildcats, guards Otega Oweh and Koby Brea, have been invited to the 2025 NBA Draft Combine, set to take place from May 11–18 in Chicago. This marks a key moment in Kentucky’s presence at the event, which is one of the most significant pre-draft evaluations for NBA prospects. Both players have had distinct paths to this point under first-year head coach Mark Pope.
Oweh, a transfer from Oklahoma, emerged as a reliable scoring option for Kentucky, averaging 16.2 points per game. His standout performances, including a 28-point game against his former team and a game-winning 27 points in the SEC Tournament, showcased his ability to perform under pressure. Oweh’s draft prospects remain uncertain, with speculation that he may return to Kentucky for another season.
Brea, who completed his eligibility after transferring from Dayton, is fully committed to the NBA. Known for his sharp shooting, Brea played a key role in Kentucky’s return to the NCAA Tournament’s second weekend, providing perimeter shooting and leadership in the backcourt.

Notably, Amari Williams, Andrew Carr, Lamont Butler, and Jaland Lowe did not receive invites. Lowe, a transfer point guard, could still earn an invitation to the NBA G League Elite Camp. Additionally, Jaxson Robinson, recovering from a wrist injury, and Andrew Carr, who underperformed at the Portsmouth Invitational, missed out on invites.
As the combine nears, all eyes will be on Oweh and Brea, whose presence marks a significant step in Kentucky’s evolving identity under Pope, focused on player development and high-stakes potential.
