UCLA Guard Londynn Jones to Transfer to USC

Londynn Jones is making a move within Los Angeles, transferring from UCLA to USC. The 5-foot-4 guard from Riverside, California, played three seasons with the Bruins, contributing as a standout 3-point shooter before the team’s national semifinal loss to UConn this month.

During her time at UCLA, Jones started 31 of 37 games and earned All-Big Ten honorable mention honors. Last season, she led the Bruins in 3-pointers with 37, averaging 8.5 points and 1.8 assists per game.

“I began recruiting Londynn back when she was in eighth grade,” said USC coach Lindsay Gottlieb. “I see Londynn as a dynamic combo guard who can impact the game in so many ways: off the bounce, as a shot creator for herself and others, and as a fierce defender.”

Jones leaves UCLA holding the single-season 3-point record with 87 made as a sophomore and was also named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman team. She now joins USC, which reached the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament before star guard JuJu Watkins suffered a season-ending knee injury.
